Privacy Policy — Puzzle Break

Last updated: 20 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Puzzle Break (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. Puzzle Break is developed by Piktus.

Summary

Puzzle Break is a single-player daily-puzzle game. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or any content you type. We handle anonymous, aggregated gameplay analytics and crash-diagnostic data to understand how the game is played and to fix problems — and you can turn both off at any time from within the app. The app also shows optional rewarded video ads (which you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward) served by Google AdMob; these use an advertising identifier as described below.

Information we collect

Gameplay analytics (via Google Firebase Analytics)

To understand how players use the game, we use Google Firebase Analytics. It records anonymous, event-level gameplay data, such as:

This data is not tied to your real-world identity. It is used only in aggregate to see what is fun, what is confusing, and what to fix.

Data collected automatically by Firebase

When analytics is enabled, Google Firebase automatically collects standard technical information required to operate the analytics service, including:

Google processes this data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use partners’ sites or apps.

Crash and diagnostic reports (via Google Firebase Crashlytics)

To find and fix crashes, we use Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes or hits an error, it records an anonymous diagnostic report, such as:

These reports are not tied to your real-world identity and are used only to make the app more stable. Crash reporting is covered by the same in-app opt-out as analytics (see Your choices).

Advertising (via Google AdMob)

The app shows rewarded video ads — always optional, and shown only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward (such as a hint or doubled reward). Ads are served by Google AdMob. To request and measure ads, AdMob uses a resettable advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android; the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS) together with coarse, IP-derived location and standard device/technical information. This information is shared with Google and its ad partners to deliver ads, prevent fraud, and measure performance, as described in Google’s policies linked above.

What we do NOT collect

Your choices

Data storage and retention

Your game progress (levels, coins, streaks, solved puzzles) is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google Firebase according to the retention period configured in our Firebase project and Google’s standard policies.

Children’s privacy

Puzzle Break is a general-audience puzzle game intended for users aged 13 and over, and it is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly build advertising or behavioural profiles of children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that involved personal data, contact us using the details below and we will address it.

Terms of Service

Your use of Puzzle Break is also governed by our Terms of Service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
